  12. Has anyone came up with a recipe to replace the Disney Princess Cool Bake Magic Oven mixes?

The mixes are gelatin based which causes the cakes to "rise" when cooled. Obviously, real cake mixes will not work with this because of the danger of raw eggs, and the fact that there is no heat to actually cook the cake. I would really like to find a way to duplicate the recipe at home, because otherwise we'll constantly be running out to buy mixes. I can't use the recipes for the traditional ez-bake oven. The Disney Oven uses ice to "bake" the cake. It's not actually baking it, it's using gelatin to solidify the cake.

  13. Kitchen princess?

Hows the strawberry sponge cake recipe thing taste? has anyone tried a recipe in it? Kitchen princess is a manga=D

  14. Which cake? Or combining options? Please help us choose.?

http://www.wedding53.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/wedding-cake-recipe-ideas.jpg We've loved this cake since day one, but the only flowers we are doing are roses and our colors are red and purple. We are doing some butterflies as hall decor so maybe icorporating some of these: http://pics.boards.weddingbee.com/32759.wedding-cake-black.jpg But today, Today I came across this beautiful cake. http://www.lifelovelipstickblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/cake.jpg We would not use peacock feathers but would use similar feathers in our wedding colors, and the print is like a zoomed in piece of damask which is also a big thing in our wedding. I know it sounds like we have a lot going on. We have red and purple, princess with skulls, Damask print throughout (closeups on invites, menus and other stationary), and roses. Our wedding is unique like us. Would that design be able to be done on an iced cake rather than fondant?

  15. I need mini birthday cake ideas.?

My daughter is turning 6. Whenever I was a child, my family would order a large cake with a tiny cake just for me. They were always very unique, like a doll in a cake (the cake was the dress), a little teddy bear, and so on. I have looked for the tiny cakes and recipes online, but I cannot find anything for just one birthday cake for a little girl. Anyone have any good recipes and pictures? Also, how do I make the type of stuff they put on the cakes in Ace of Cakes? The only thing I did find was sports stuff. I need stuff for a little girl. Fairies, princesses, butterflies, flowers... I need stuff like that. We will be having an ice cream cake as the large cake, so I do not need recipes for the regular sized cake. We are having an ice cream cake that is more than large enough for everyone. Cupcakes are just like making another cake and it will be wasted. I need resources on making a mini cake, not cup cakes and not a huge cake for everyone or cup cakes for everyone. Please read what I actually asked. BTW, the reason I need to make 1 mini cake is because my son cannot have ice cream. He's moderately allergic to milk, so he can occasionally have it in baked goods. I was going to get my daughter to half he cake and eat some ice cream cake. She wanted ice cream cake anyway.

my daughter is turning 7 this coming thursday so i'm throwing her a fairy princess b-day party this coming saturday. my bf is also turning the big 30 that same day so we are having a little party for him too at the same time (in another part of the house). there are about 30 people coming total (11 people are family). 8 little girls are coming for my daughter. we are serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and mac n' cheese for all the guests (i encouraged everyone to bring along a dish as well). for my daughter: -decorations are: cake table w/pink tablecloth, glitter, and butterfly sequins. serving table w/purple tablecloth, glitter, sequins, and a vase w/fake pink roses and butterfly balloons. there will be a flower garland around the front door and glitter along the walkway (we have a gravel front yard so no mess to worry about) -cake: http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/recipedetail.htm?recipe_id=56895 -games: see below fairy princess treasure hunt: there will be 10 clues(butterfly shaped cardstock w/clues written on them) hidden around the house. at clue 5, the girls "earn" their powers (bubbles w/glitter mixed in) and wings. at clue 10-there are little fairy dolls (found at dollar store) for each of them musical fairy crowns (instead of musical chairs). I have made 9 crowns out of wire garland, fake roses, and ribbon. start the game off w/8 crowns. the girls will dance to "sugar plum fairy" from the nutcracker. when the music stops-the girls scramble to put a crown on. game ends when crown is grabbed. the girls get to keep the crowns craft-butterfly fairy wands made out of butterfly shaped foam, dowel rods, butterfly shaped gems, sequins, ribbon and glitter. goodie bags: pixie sticks, tinkerbell stickers, "fairy dust" made out of glitter and sequins, bracelets, and rings. this is our first party in a house and she didnt get one last year b/c I couldn't afford it. did i do too much?!!

  25. What would Barbie do?

I'm in the process of planning a Barbie Princess Party for my daughters "First" Birthday. I've done searches for ideas and some of them are cute, but not unique. I'm making the Barbie cake and the lil Skipper cake for her to dig into. I've purchased a bolt of pink fabric for our entryways "Pink Carpet". I've got the pink and white balloons. Fake pearl garland for the tables. I even purchased a pink pouffy "Princess" dress for myself and her. There will be mostly adults at this party and I really want everyone to dress like Barbie would. My problem now is the food and invitations. I want food that is cohesive to my theme. So, What the heck would Barbie serve? And is there a cute idea for homemade invitations? I was hoping that someone out there has some ideas for "pink" food...and no, I would rather not put food coloring in mashed potatoes and sour cream. Maybe a jello salad or a great finger sandwich recipe. I'm just at an end, trying to figure out a meal plan for 40 plus guests. Any ideas? Thanks so much in advance:)

  26. baby shower cupcakes?

I need an interesting-- yet EASY idea for cupcake decor for a baby girl baby shower. Mommy 2 be's colors are anything pastel. Because of her religion-- no princesses, angels, or precious moments. I need an icing recipe too-- I was thinking baby faces on the cupcakes?? Maybe? And I'm just going to use strawberry and vanilla cake mix for the cupcakes. Also there are 20 people-- how many cupcakes to make?? Sorry if this came out scatterbrained- I'm a little crazed right now!! THanks all!
